Schematic design
Schematic design is the next step after concept has been completed. Schematic development takes all of the approved blue sky ideas and translates them into real-world plans that engineers and artisans can use as blueprints to begin creating from. Depending on the scope and scale of the project, schematic design can include:
- CAD Plans
- 3D Model(s) (Digital or Practical)
- Area Development
- Elevation Illustrations
- Material/Color Boards
- Robust and Refined Narrative/Early Scripting
- Technical Narrative
- Technical Package/Matrix
- Advanced Art/Renderings
- Storyboards
- Character Design
- Show Set Plan Development
- Media Fly-Through
- Advanced Digital/Practical Model(s)
Detailed Design
Detailed design is the final step in the creative process before installation begins. This is the phase where architectural designers finalize plans, elevations, and sections, all creative details are completed, and the project is readied to move into the field for production and installation. Depending on the scope and scale of the project, detailed design can include:
- Finalized CAD Plans, Sections, Elevations
- Finalized Architectural Details
- Finalized Technical Narrative/Matrix
- Finalized Area Development Plans
- Finalized Landscape Design
- Final Artwork/Storyboards
- Final Material/Color Boards
- Final Narrative/Scripting
- Finalized Show Set Design
- Final Digital/Practical 3D Model(s)
- Finalized Character Design
- Attraction Marquee/Signage/Wayfinding Designs
